Thanks to all who came out to the work detail / meeting. We got a lot done getting ready for the Halloween Hayride & range. Cindy & her crew will surely scare plenty of teenagers along the “Path of Horror”.
The Halloween Hayride will be Friday & Saturday, October 11 & 12, 7pm to 11pm. The ride is $7 per person (6 & under are free), and the walk-through at the camp is included. Food & drinks will be sold at the entrance at Lincoln Road – east 100 yards or so from Trail Slope Road. Any members who can come out to help with the scaring, food sales, safety etc are strongly encouraged to do so. It was decided at the meeting that proceeds will be split up between the members who come out to help – to be put towards their next year’s dues.
Meetings will now be held on the first Wednesdays of the month at 7pm: October 2, November 6, December 4 & January 8 (January will be the 2nd week due to the New Year’s holiday).
Members should have gun raffle tickets through the end of 2013. Please contact Edmund if you haven’t received them. It will be decided at the end of the year if we will need to continue raffle ticket sales.
We can still use some new members to replace those who dropped out this past year. Please encourage any friends, relatives or co-workers who might be interested to get in contact with us.
ATVs are officially “in season” for BMHC members September through December. Please be courteous in their use & do not tear up trails or drive unsafely.
We still have the senior discount for members who have been with the club at least one year. If you attend 7 or more meetings in your previous year & are 65 by August, you will receive $100 off of your dues.
It was noted that we will need to put up some new Safety signs off 209 by the old bar. There are some residences there & all members should be aware while hunting anywhere nearby.
We will have nominations for club officers at the October meeting. If anyone has interest in joining the board, please see a current board member for more details.
As many of you know, Dale has been experiencing health problems. If anyone would like to contribute to a collection for him, please see Scott B. We also decided to waive Dale’s membership fees & hope for his return to good health.
Come to the Hayride!!!!!
